Scrum Master

Agile & Scrum Facilitation:

Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) for two or more teams.

Ensure ceremonies are effective, focused, and achieve their stated objectives.

Champion the Agile mindset and ensure Scrum principles are understood and followed by the teams and key stakeholders.

Coaching & Mentoring:

Act as an Agile coach for your teams, helping them to become self-organizing and cross-functional.

Mentor junior Scrum Masters and other team members on Agile best practices.

Coach the Product Owner(s) on effective backlog management, story writing, and prioritization techniques.

Impediment & Dependency Management:

Proactively identify, track, and resolve impediments and risks that could impact team velocity or project timelines.

Expertly manage cross-team dependencies, liaising with other Scrum Masters, Project Managers, and departments (e.g., Security, Compliance, Infrastructure).

Shield the team from external distractions and interruptions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:

Foster strong communication and collaboration between the development teams and business stakeholders.

Provide clear and transparent reporting on team progress, using Agile metrics (e.g., burndown charts, velocity, lead time).

Facilitate discussions and healthy conflict resolution to drive alignment and decision-making.

Banking Domain Focus:

Integrate compliance, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, local banking laws) into the Agile workflow without compromising agility.

Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to ensure all deliverables meet the bank's rigorous standards.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in a dedicated Scrum Master role.

Certifications: Advanced Scrum Master certification (PSM II, PSM III, CSP-SM, or A-CSM). A foundational cert (PSM I, CSM) is the minimum.

Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile principles, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks.

Leadership: Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead teams. You don't just "run meetings"; you build high-performing teams.

Skills:

Exceptional facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong conflict resolution and negotiation abilities.

Excellent problem-solving and impediment-removal skills.

Tools: Proficiency with Agile management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Language: Fluent in both Vietnamese and English (for stakeholder communication and documentation).

Nice-to-Haves: Preferred Qualifications

Direct Industry Experience: Previous experience working in Banking, FinTech, or a highly regulated industry is a major plus.

Scaling Experience: Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (e.Fag., SAFe, LeSS, Scrum Scale).

Technical Background: A former background in software development, QA, or business analysis.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
