Math Academic Specialist For English Program

1. Position Overview

The Math Academic Specialist plays a critical role in developing, aligning, and ensuring the academic quality of Bitex Education’s English-medium Math program. The role requires strong curriculum expertise, the ability to map International Standards to the MOET 2018 Curriculum, and experience in assessment design and teacher training.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Curriculum Mapping & Development

• Map Math content, competencies, and learning outcomes between International standards and the MOET 2018 Curriculum.
• Develop scope & sequence, unit plans, lesson plans, and teaching materials for the English-medium Math program.
• Ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment.

2.2 Assessment Design & Quality Assurance

• Develop formative and summative assessments, performance tasks, test papers, and rubrics.
• Monitor teaching implementation through class observations and provide structured feedback.
• Collect academic data and propose program improvements.

2.3 Teacher Training & Professional Development

• Deliver training workshops on curriculum, lesson planning, assessment, and English-medium Math teaching.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and follow-up support to teachers.
• Develop academic guidelines and professional development materials.

2.4 Academic Coordination

• Work with management and training teams to ensure program consistency.
• Participate in academic audits and program evaluation cycles.
• Support academic events, workshops, and school-based activities.

2.5 Teaching Responsibilities

• Teach scheduled or substitute classes when required.
• Ensure effective classroom management and instructional quality.

3. Qualifications & Competencies

3.1 Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or Applied Mathematics.
• English proficiency: IELTS 6.5+ or equivalent.

3.2 Professional Experience

• Minimum 1 years of experience in education.
• Experience in bilingual/international programs is preferred.

3.3 Core Competencies

• Strong understanding of International Standards and MOET 2018 Curriculum.
• Skills in curriculum mapping, assessment design, lesson planning, and active learning methodologies.
• Ability to deliver teacher training workshops and academic coaching.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

3.4 Preferred Competencies

• Experience working with both Vietnamese and foreign teachers.
• Project management skills for academic initiatives.
• Familiarity with international math frameworks (e.g., NCTM, Singapore Math).
