Automotive Specialist/ Engineer

1 Design & Development

- Interpret customer specifications and vehicle electrical architecture to design wire harness systems.

- Develop 2D/3D harness layouts using CAD tools (e.g., Solid Work, CATIA, Zuken E3, AutoCAD).

- Select appropriate wires, connectors, terminals, and protective components based on application and environment.

2 Engineering Documentation

- Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics, and routing diagrams.

- Prepare DFMEA, DVP&R, and other technical documentation for product validation.

3 Project & Customer Interface

- Act as the technical liaison with OEMs and Tier 1 customers for wire harness projects.

- Support new product launches, engineering changes, and design reviews.

- Ensure timely delivery of prototypes and production-ready harnesses.

4 Manufacturing Support

- Collaborate with production and process engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency.

- Support the development of assembly instructions, tooling, and quality control plans.

Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.

5 Quality & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with automotive standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, RoHS, etc.).

- Participate in audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.

2. At least 3+ years of experience in wire harness design or manufacturing in the automotive industry.

3. Proficiency in CAD tools or harness design software.

4. Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, connectors, and standards.

5. Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and other automotive quality tools.

6. Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.

7. Knowledge of CAN/LIN communication protocols.

8. Hands-on experience with vehicle integration and testing.

9. Strong communication and project management skills.
