Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Lead the design, development, and end-to-end delivery of configurations, customizations, and enhancements across the ServiceNow platform.
  • Architect scalable and maintainable solutions aligned with platform governance, industry standards, and enterprise best practices.
  • Oversee and guide development activities, ensuring high-quality code, optimized performance, and seamless integration across ServiceNow modules.
  • Drive the implementation of new features and major enhancements, ensuring technical feasibility, solution consistency, and long-term maintainability.
  • Partner with the Platform Owner/Administrator and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex platform issues, resolve defects, and optimize system reliability.
  • Lead all phases of the SDLC—including requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, code review, deployment, and post-release support.
  • Maintain and enforce technical documentation standards: architecture diagrams, solution designs, configuration guides, and test plans.
  • Play a key leadership role in Agile SAFe ceremonies (planning, grooming, reviews, retrospectives), guiding development priorities and sprint commitments.
  • Use Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, version control, code reviews, branching strategy, and release pipelines.
  • Ensure platform compliance, security alignment, and governance across all releases while mentoring junior developers on best practices.

Requirements

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior technical role.
  • Deep expertise in architecting and delivering ServiceNow solutions—scripting, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, and integrations.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of ITSM and CSM; experience with additional modules (ITOM, HRSD, SecOps, ITAM) is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions, translate business requirements into technical designs, and make architecture recommendations.
  • Experienced in Agile SAFe, with the ability to guide sprint execution and ensure high-quality deliverables from the development team.
  • Proficient with Azure DevOps for work item management, code repository oversight, branching/version control, and release management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex platform and integration issues.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, able to collaborate across functions and mentor junior developers.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, CIS, or module-specific certifications are a strong plus.
